Church Planting in Washington State

Dear Praying Friends,

The Lord is continuing to bless us here in the Northwest.  After our missions conference in May we were able to take on two more missionaries.  Praise the Lord!  Our church now supports five missionaries.

On July 2, the lady who donated her piano to our church and has been playing for us officially joined our church.  What a blessing!

On July 6, Jennifer’s parents and brother flew out here for a visit.  We had a wonderful time showing them around our area.  They attended church services with us and Jennifer’s dad did some special singing for us as well.  They flew back on July 15.

On July 17th Tim flew to Crown College in TN for a Pastor’s College.  This was one of the last requirements for his Master’s Degree.  He had a great week of preaching and fellowship with over 150 different pastors.  It was a blessing and an encouragement.

On July 29th our church hosted an Independent Baptist Church Fellowship for churches in the Northwest.  We had four different churches represented from Washington and Idaho.  Some churches drove over two hours to attend the meeting.  The four churches represented were all missionary works that have been started by preachers from NC.  It was very encouraging to all of us.  It was a great night of preaching, singing, and fellowship.  The Lord truly blessed in this meeting.

The Lord is continuing to add to our building fund for a new roof and paint.  Our people have been giving sacrificially and currently we have about $3655 saved up.  We are currently finalizing the lease-to-own agreement with the Seventh Day Adventist organization for our building.  When this is finalized we will be replacing the roof.  We are estimating the cost of the roof to be at least $5000.  Please help us pray that the Lord would meet this need for our church.  If you would like to help with our roof situation, please send your gift to our church - Macedonia Independent Baptist Church P.O. Box 149 Colfax, WA 99111.  Thank you so much!

It is harvest time here in Colfax.  The wheat is white and the combines are out in full force.  The city is a buzz with everyone talking about driving the tractors, hauling the wheat in, and finishing the harvest on time.  We can’t help but think about John 4:35, “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.”  The spiritual field here is certainly white and ready to harvest.  Tim has door knocked over 8200 doors since starting here last year.  We have been sowing the seed and are anxiously awaiting the Lord to give the increase.  We have also been praying over Matthew 9:38, “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”  We are praying the Lord would send us good Christian families to help us in our work here.  Please continue to pray for our work here in Colfax that the Lord would bless and that His will would be done.

Love in Christ,

Tim and Jennifer Wall
