Church Planting in Washington State

Dear Praying Friends,

Winter is still around us here in Washington.  We finally made it up to 50 degrees toward the end of March!  In February Jennifer started teaching Kid’s Club on Wednesday nights for elementary age kids.  The class has been going very well and our regulars at church seem to be enjoying it.  February 4th we had our first Youth Jamboree at church with a guest preacher from Spokane.  That was a great day for the youth of our church.  We have been having work nights once a month at church to get things cleaned up, repaired, & painted.  This has been very helpful for not only our church building, but our church families in fellowshipping with each other.  In March we traveled twelve hours to Coos Bay, OR to a revival at Bible Baptist Church.  We enjoyed the revival and the sightseeing!  In March we also had our first ladies outing (a shopping trip) and planned our first men‘s outing (a golfing trip) but it was rained out and will be rescheduled.

Tim has still been busy knocking doors and going soul winning in our area.  He has gone to 7,250 different houses.  We want to be busy about the Lord’s business!  The Lord has blessed us by sending two new families to our church that have started visiting regularly.  They had both been looking for a good church in the area.  We are praying that the Lord send us many more families this year.

We would like for you to pray for a man in our church named Adrian.  He has been faithful to our church since the first Sunday we had services.  His two children were saved on our second Sunday at church.  They also had been very faithful to the church.  His wife however, does not want anything to do with God, the church, or us.  Recently Adrian tried to introduce a family devotional time in his home and his wife just hit the roof.  Now, she is doing everything possible to keep the kids out of church.  This is a man who was saved years ago and has been in and out of church all of his life.  He is making a genuine effort to be faithful and stick with it and his family is turning against him.  On top of this they have serious financial troubles as well.  Please remember this man in your prayers that God would work in this difficult situation.

We are excited about the events and activities we have planned for this spring and ask that you would keep them in your prayers.  April 2 - 5 we will be having our very first revival at the church.  Bro. David Maynard from Clemmons, NC is flying out to be with us and preach for us.  We know he will be a blessing to our church.  May 19-21 we will be having our first missions conference at church with Dr. Allen Barker from Yadkinville, NC.  We know he will help stir our peoples’ hearts for missions.

The stories you hear about the Northwest are true.  It is a hard, callous area where people are not open to the Gospel.  However, this is where the Lord has called us to minister and we are just going to keep at it.  The Lord will build his church.  We have had so many blessings since we have been in Washington and we know we are following God’s will.  Please keep us in your prayers as we work and serve God here in Colfax, WA.

Love in Christ,

Tim and Jennifer Wall
