Church Planting in Washington State

Dear Praying Friends,

This has been a busy two months - both with the church and personally.  On December 18th we had our first Christmas play at the church.  We had six kids participate as well as two adults.  We had a wonderful turnout and the Lord really blessed.  On Christmas day we had two people get baptized that morning that had recently gotten saved at home.  What a blessing!

On December 26th we flew back to North Carolina for a quick visit home.  While there we were able to report back to our home church and one other supporting church, and also give our burden to two new churches.  It was a nice visit home and the family enjoyed seeing how much Jason had grown!  While we were there, we had two good preachers fill in for us back here in Colfax, WA so that was a blessing.  We flew back to Washington on January 7th.

We started Sunday School on December 4th and that has been going well.  We are having a contest between the Sunday School classes on who has the best attendance.  It is a close race so far!  On January 29th we held our first communion service at church.  On Wednesday, February 1st, Jennifer will be starting a Kid’s Club on Wednesday nights working with elementary age children.  We are hoping to get the kids interested in coming and learning about God.  On Saturday, February 4th we will be holding our first Youth Jamboree.  We will be having pizza, singing, games, and Bible Study.  Jennifer and another lady from our church will be working with the younger kids, and a preacher from Spokane will be speaking to the older kids.  We want this to be a way to reach out into the community and draw more kids and their parents into church.

Please continue to pray for our church here in Colfax.  We have had quite a bit of sickness in the church the past two months, so our attendance has been down.  We have also had more than our share of winter weather here.  We have two families that drive over 40 minutes to get to church, and so when the weather is bad they are not able to come.  Please pray for the financial situation of the church families as well as the financial situation of the church.  We are making a conscious effort of getting out in the community to get to know more residents and inviting people to church on a personal level.  We are praying for God to give the increase to all of the many doors knocked on (over 6450), all of the advertisements, and personal invitations.  We know God will build His church in His time.  Please keep our church in your prayers that it would grow and thrive for God.

Thank you again to all of the churches who have sent special Christmas offerings.  We truly appreciate your generosity.  That meant so much to us, especially at this time of year.  Thank you so much.  Please continue to pray for us as we serve here in Colfax, WA.

Love in Christ,

Tim and Jennifer Wall
