Church Planting in Washington State

Dear Praying Friends,

Fall is definitely here on the Palouse.  The wheat has been harvested and the ground is being turned over to get ready for the winter wheat to be sown.  The days are getting shorter and the temperature continues to drop.

In August, Dr. & Mrs. Allen Barker and Dr. & Mrs. Eric Caudill and their son came to visit us.  Dr. Barker is our Field Director with Macedonia World Baptist Missions.  Dr. Caudill preached for us for a special Tuesday night service and Mrs. Barker and Mrs. Caudill did a special song for us.  They were such a blessing and we truly enjoyed having them come.  It is always such an encouragement to fellowship with other believers.

On September 9, we celebrated the second anniversary of Macedonia Independent Baptist Church!  Praise the Lord for two years here in Colfax.  We celebrated by having a special tribute to our veterans and local police and fire workers.  We had plaques made to honor our local forces and invited them to the services.  We had 23 people there for Sunday morning services!  Dr. Roger Baker, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in King, NC, was our guest speaker.  He was such a blessing and encouragement to all of our people.  David Buri, our local State Representative, sang America the Beautiful in the Sunday morning service.  It was a wonderful patriotic service where the gospel was preached and there was clear conviction in the congregation.  We praise the Lord for our church being planted here in Colfax for over two years now!

Tim has knocked on over 10,000 different doors in Whitman County since moving here.  When he visits a house he always leaves a packet with a tract, church brochure, and a copy of John & Romans.  Sometimes we also have a flyer advertising a special event coming up at church.  We are spreading the gospel and trusting the Lord to give the increase.

Tim has also started working toward his Doctorate degree through Macedonia Baptist College in Midland, NC.  He has to complete 32 credit hours and a 50,000 word thesis.  This will surely keep him busy for awhile!

Our piano player at church is getting married again on October 7.  Her husband was killed over three years ago in Iraq and she has two little boys.  They have been faithful to our church and we are so happy for her as she starts this new part of her life.  We pray the Lord will bless her marriage and family.

Please continue to pray for the woman who got saved on July 4th this year. This family really needs the touch of God in their life.  Please help us pray for this situation.

Praise the Lord in August one of our church members returned safely from Iraq.  This was his third trip there in less than a year.  We praise God for his safety and protection while working there.  Thank you for all of your prayers for us & our church.

Love in Christ,

Tim and Jennifer Wall
