Dear Praying Friends,
The Lord continues to answer prayer here in the Northwest! We had told you about our need to paint the outside of our church. Pastor Kevin Kuykendall out of Georgia heard about our need and donated all of the needed paint supplies to our church! Praise the LORD! On September 16th we held a workday and we were able to paint the whole outside of the church! It looks much better! We have heard several positive comments from people in the community about what an improvement was made to the building! To God be the Glory! We truly appreciate Pastor Kuykendall for all of his help! We also want to thank the Youth Group from Faith Baptist Church in Spokane, WA for coming down and helping us paint! That was a blessing. We still need to do the trim work, but are waiting to replace some of the wood fixtures first. The Lord truly worked out the paint situation for us!
We have officially entered a lease-to-own agreement with the Seventh Day Adventist organization for the purchase of the building. Praise the Lord! We looked into several options for replacing our church roof, but it looks as if we will not be able to replace it until the spring. So, we will continue to patch it up as need be and develop our building fund for the purchase of those materials. We would like to thank three churches who each sent us $500 for our building fund. They are: Samaritan Baptist Church in Winston Salem, NC; New Hope Baptist Church in Osburn, ID: and Missions Baptist Church in Winston Salem, NC. Thank you so much for helping us with this great need for our church.
In September we started a new ministry of our church called “Palouse School of the Bible.” Palouse is the name of the region where we live. This is a night school where anyone in the community can come to learn more about God. It is a two year program based on Crown College’s Knoxville School of the Bible. We have had a man and wife to sign up for classes this semester. Praise the Lord! This couple is eager to learn more about the Word of God. They are currently not attending our church. The man is a state representative for WA. Please pray for this young couple.
We celebrated the church’s one year anniversary on September 10, 2006! Praise the Lord! We looked back through all of our bulletins for the year and typed up a four page list of all of the many praise reports we have had in our first year! It is amazing to see how God has worked and blessed. We have seen 10 professions of faith since moving to WA. We had our first missions conference and now support 5 missionaries. We have knocked over 8400 different doors in Whitman county since moving here not including the second time through Colfax. We have door knocked in the towns of Colfax, Albion, Lacrosse, Dusty, Garfield, Palouse, Pullman, Endicott, Steptoe, Rosalia, & St. John. The Lord has provided a place for us to meet every week, even though we moved around quite a bit to begin with! The Lord has provided funds for a new roof on the building. The Lord has provided the paint supplies for the outside of our church. We had our first revival with several visitors and a wonderful attendance every night. The Lord has protected, healed, and provided for our church families. Praise the Lord!
Tim has finished door knocking through Colfax for the second time since we moved here. He talked to many new people who had moved into the area. We are praying for new contacts and families for our church! Please be much in prayer that new families would start coming to church. Several of our families have moved or had hardships preventing them from coming to church. We are continually praying for new doors to be opened here and hearts to be moved. We remain faithful in spreading the Word, and are trusting God for the increase. Thank you for all of your prayers.
Love in Christ,
Tim and Jennifer Wall
