Dear Praying Friends,
April and May have been a whirlwind of events for us! We started our first revival at the church on April 2nd with Bro. David Maynard. We weren’t sure how our people would respond to this, but the response was tremendous. We had several first time visitors from the community, several of our people attended evening services that had not been before, and our people were truly encouraged during this revival. The Lord used Bro. & Mrs. Maynard in a wonderful way here. Several of our members were going through tremendous trials at this time and the revival was exactly what they had been needing.
On April 22, Jason turned two years old. It is amazing how he has grown and developed. Jason can sign over 60 signs in American Sign Language, he can say the complete alphabet, count to 20, knows his shapes, colors, right hand and left hand, body parts, and has an enormous vocabulary. Jason loves going to church and greeting people with a big smile and hello. He is our pride and joy and we are thankful for him in our lives.+
On April 24th, Tim accompanied several other preachers to a revival meeting in Summerville, Oregon. Tim was asked to share with the people there about our church and its needs. Tim expressed our need of painting our church and how the roof would need to be replaced very soon. Several of the pastors pledged to help us with our building expenses. So far, with the money the churches have sent us and the money our people have given, we have $2,380 for our building expenses. Praise the LORD! Our roof will need to be replaced by the end of the summer and right now they are estimating just the materials to be at least $5000. Please help us pray about our roof situation. If you would like to help with our roof situation, please send your gift to our church - Macedonia Independent Baptist Church P.O. Box 149 Colfax, WA 99111. Thank you so much!
On May 1st we flew back to NC for a quick visit and to attend Tim’s graduation from Crown College in Powell, TN. Tim had been working through their extended studies program. He received his Masters of Ministry Degree. Praise the Lord for this blessing! The trip went very well and the grandparents loved seeing Jason again!
On May 13th Tim conducted his first marriage ceremony. He was able to lead these two people to the Lord a few weeks earlier and then had the privilege of marrying them.
On May 19th we started our first Faith Promise Missions Conference with Dr. Allen Barker preaching. We had two new missionaries at the conference as well. The meeting was a blessing and so far our church has promised $430 a month to missions. Praise the Lord! We already support 3 missionaries and are looking forward to taking on more!
We are still door knocking and inviting people to church. Since starting last August, Tim has gone to 7500 different houses, in addition to going through Colfax a second time soul-winning.
Please pray for the families of the church as many are going through difficult times right now. One of our families had to move because of a job and is looking for a church closer to them now. Please help us pray that the Lord will send many new families to us this year.
May 28th we celebrated one year since moving to Washington. The Lord has blessed us so much during this year. We have had many trials and heartaches, but the Lord has seen us through it all and we have grown from them. Praise the Lord that we completed one year on the mission field!
Love in Christ,
Tim and Jennifer Wall
