Church Planting in Washington State

Dear Praying Friends,

THIS IS IT! This is our last letter from this side of the country! On May 28, we will be flying out of the Raleigh airport headed to Spokane, Washington. When we leave we will have been to 255 different churches in 10 different states in 29 months. The song says, “I wouldn’t take nothing for my journey now,” and that is so true. The Lord has taught us so much during deputation. We know that He was preparing us for what lies ahead in Washington. We have seen His hand of providence over and over in our ministry and we know that He is directing our paths.

Praise the Lord! We are so thankful for the four new churches that have taken us on this month. They are Little River Baptist Church in Spring Lake, NC, Truth Missionary Baptist Church in Moncure, NC, Maple Grove Baptist Church in Weddington, NC, and Maranatha Baptist Church in Aulander, NC.

On May 22 we will be at our home church at Missions Baptist Church. Jennifer will be teaching the ladies Sunday School class and Tim will be preaching in the morning and evening services. We are looking forward to what God is going to do in our home church on that day.

As we prepare to leave, we ask that you also remember to pray for the family that we are leaving behind. While most of our family is supportive and know that this is God’s will for our lives, it will still be difficult moving that far away, especially taking their grandbaby. Jason turned one year old on April 22. It is amazing how much he has grown and developed. He weighs 21 lbs and 12 oz and is 31 inches tall. He is walking everywhere and into everything! He is a happy, healthy baby and we are so thankful.

We are so excited about doing a work for the Lord in Washington. Our goal is to plant self-governing, self-supporting, self-propagating churches starting in Colfax, Washington. We want to evangelize all of Whitman County, which has a population of 40,000 people without one Independent Baptist Church, but plant the church in the county seat of Colfax. Thank you to all of the churches that God is working through in order to make this possible. We could not do this without the prayers and support of God’s people. We love you and are praying for you.

In Christ,

Missionaries Tim and Jennifer Wall
