Missionary Church Planters in Louisiana

"Then hear thou from the heavens their prayer and their
supplication, and maintain their cause.
" II Chronicles 6:35

In the past few days, it has been exciting to be reminded that people all over are praying for us. We have met people in several different churches that have told us that they have our prayer card in a prominent place and they pray for us often. What a wonderful thought to know that they take the time from their busy schedule to pray for our family. What an encouragement. It is exciting when churches take us on for support. Obviously, we have to have that to live physically. However, it is much more exciting and encouraging to know that Christians are praying for us. If we anticipate doing a great work for God, it will only be through the prayers of God’s people. What a great thought that people are lifting their voices in prayer for us and our cause, the cause of seeing souls saved in southern Louisiana.

Praise
We have much to be thankful for in this prayer letter. We have seen a number of new churches begin to support us since our last prayer letter. The following churches have made us a part of their mission’s family in the past few months: Calvary Baptist Church, Eatonton, GA; Calvary Baptist Church, Morrow, GA; Faith Baptist Church, Germanton, NC; Waterloo Baptist Church, Chula, GA; Maple Grove Baptist Church, Weddington, NC; Freedom Baptist Church, Salisbury, NC; and Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Gainesville, GA. We have also had several churches promise to begin support and others vow to earnestly pray about taking us on.

We have also seen the Lord meet and supply needs in ways that we never imagined. Isn’t it a wonderful privilege to be able to serve the King of Kings and Lord of Lords?

Prayer Requests
After careful prayer and consideration, we believe that God would have us leave for the field in January of 2008. We had considered an earlier date, but feel that it would be best for us to wait until January. Although we are anxious to get there as quickly as possible, we would much rather go in God’s timing than in our own.

Please help us pray for a good supply of meetings between now and the end of the year. We do have some open dates left until the end of the year. Of course, the more churches that we are able to get into, the more people that we can share our burden with and have praying for us. We desire the prayers of God’s people and know that without them, we can do nothing.

Please continue to pray for our safety and provision as we travel. The Lord has certainly blessed us with safety during our deputation. Pray that He would continue to watch over us and keep us safe.

Securely His,
The Campbells
