"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." --Luke 2:11

I always enjoy reading and thinking upon this verse each year at Christmas. I guess you could say it is my favorite Christmas verse. I can only imagine what the shepherds thought on this night. No doubt in all of their astonishment there was a certain sense of confidence. You see, the angels made sure that there would be no question as to who that Saviour was, for it was none other than Christ the Lord. As they made their heavenly announcement, the world knew exactly who was born and what He was born to do. Just as those angels proclaimed the Saviour to the shepherds tending their flocks by night, so it is our desire to proclaim the wonderful news of Jesus to those that have never heard. We are excited about the chance to spread the wonderful news of good tidings to the people of southern Louisiana, many of whom have never been told that a Saviour has been born.

It has been a privilege to serve the Lord this past year. We have seen Him answer prayers on our behalf time after time. We have witnessed Him supply our needs in ways that have amazed us. The Lord has been good to us this year. We also want to say a special thank you to each and every one that has prayed for our family this year. We know that we could not do what we do without you. Please continue to pray for us that God would bless in 2008.

Currently, we are close to 70% of our needed support. We only need 30% more. We have been in quite a few churches that have not taken us on for support. Would you please pray that the remaining 30% would soon come in. There is no doubt in my mind that if a few of the churches we have already been in would take us on, we could soon have all of our needed support. We are praying and planning to move in February and continue deputation in the midwestern area until we have the support we need. It would certainly be a blessing not to have to do that, but to be able to rn leave with all of our support.

We are also planning to take a trip to Louisiana in January so that we might find a place to live. Please help us pray that the Lord would open the door for the place that He would have us to live in, the right neighborhood, etc. We want to be exactly where He wants us.

We are excited about what we believe the Lord is going to do in the days ahead. Again, thank you for your prayers and support. May God bless you with a wonderful Christmas and a Blessed New Year.

The Campbells
