| "For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he
that is called, being free, is Christ's servant. "
1 Corinthians 7:22
What a great privilege it is to be a servant of Christ’s.
To think that Christ would call us out and
choose to use us for His great work is beyond my comprehension.
These past few months have been busy
for us. During the latter part of July and the month of August,
we are taking a northeast tour. We have several
meetings scheduled in Pennsylvania and New York and have been in
those areas for several weeks.
Thus far, the Lord has been so good to us and provided us with
traveling mercy and met every one of our
needs. We are enjoying the goodness of the Lord and the privilege
of being His servants.
We do have one interesting thought to share from our travels. Apparently,
it does not get hot
enough in many of the northern states for them to have or need
air conditioning. This was quite a surprise to
this southern boy. Needless to say, we have done all we could to
find the places that do have air conditioning
and tried to stay as cool as possible.
Praise
During the month of July, we were blessed to be able to work at Vacation Bible School at our home
church. I had the privilege of leading several precious young boys to the Lord. What a great joy to be able
to lead someone to Christ and show them the way to Jesus.
We recently found out that God has blessed us with an addition to our family. We will be having
our second child in February of next year. Please pray for Wendy and the baby that everything will go well.
We are excited about this new addition to our family and thank the Lord for it.
We continue to have more churches make us a part of their missions family and take us on for
monthly support. We want to thank the following churches for making us a part of their missions family:
Calvary Baptist Church, Trenton, GA; Oconee Baptist Church, Watkinsville, GA; and Bethel Baptist Church,
Erwin, TN. As the Lord continues to send in the needed support, we begin to get more and more excited
about getting to southern Louisiana. Currently, we are just over 41% of our needed support and trusting the
Lord to provide the rest.
Also, during the month of July, the Lord answered a great unspoken prayer request that we have
had for some time. We praise the Lord for His working things out on our behalf.
Prayer Requests
Our schedule continues to remain busy over the next few months. Please continue to pray for our
safety as we travel. Also, help us pray for more open doors to share our burden for Louisiana.
Please pray that the churches we have shared our burden with would prayerfully consider making
us a part of their mission family. Help us pray that we can be on the field by Spring of 2007.
Thank you for all of your prayers and support. We know that we could not do what God has called
us to do without you.
Securely His,
The Campbells
