"And
when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was
told them concerning the child." Luke 2:17
It is hard to believe that is is Chrismas again and another year
has come and gone. As we reflect on the Christmas story we thought
of the shepherds. When the angels appeared and announced to them
the brith of the Saviour of the world, they made haste to see for
themselves. However when they saw for themselves, they didn't keep
silent, but they made known abroad the saying which was told them
concerning the child. Is this not what missions is all about? We
are to tell abroad, everywhere, about the Saviour of the world.
Because of your faithful prayers and financial support, we have
been blessed to represent you and your church abroad again this
year, telling the sweet story of the Saviour of the world. Thank
you seems small but with all our hearts we thank you!
In Acts 14:27, Paul gathered the church together in Antioch and
rehearsed all that God had done with him on their mission trip.
As we look back over the year, we want to rehearse what God has
done. We have seen several people saved by the grace of God! There
has been new men and their families surrender to missions. This
year seven of our missionaries and their families have finished
up deputation and moved to the field of their calling. These men
are Mark Shore in Idaho, Tim Wall and Jeff Hawks in Washington,
Jeremy Pierce in North Dakota, Duane Earwood in South Dakota, Andy
Doss in California, and Gordon Horton in Canada. All of these men
are church planters and several already have their churches up and
going. Several of the missionaries already on the field organized
their church this year. To God be the glory! He has blessed tremendously!
During the month of November I preached in four different Mission
Conferences and in each church there was an increase in their Faith
Promise Mission giving. During the month of December, I will preach
in two Missions Conferences and hopefully will get to spend some
time at home with my family.
I would ask you to help us pray that in this new year God will
continue to give us good men and their families to help reach our
own country with the gospel. We are praying that God will give you
all a safe and blessed Christmas!
