MINISTRY
NEWS SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER
2004
Summer is nearly over
and what a busy one it has been. Truly the busiest and one of the best
summers of my life. Thank you for your prayers concerning VBS. It
went extremely well. There were between 40 and 45 kids in attendance each
night, which is about all that we could handle. By the end of the week,
8 souls were saved by the grace of God, 4 of whom were in the teenage
class. Thankfully about half of those saved were "unchurched"
so we have had the opportunity to disciple and baptize them.
Just a couple of weeks ago I baptized 7 new converts in the Missouri
River. Among those baptized was a young nineteen-year-old Native American
man, that was birthed into the family of God during our Tent Revival in June,
named Tim. He is absolutely on fire for the Lord, trying
his best to get everyone he can to trust Christ. He feels like God
may be calling him to preach and he wants to go back and win the Cheyene
River Indian Reservation to God. I hope that you will help me pray that
the Lord would see fit to use him to proclaim the glorious gospel of
Christ. However, he is not getting much encouragement from me to
preach. If he starts preaching, I want him to be God called
and not "preacher called." I am discipeling him on a daily
basis and it is truly exciting to see what the Lord is doing in his life.
I have been waiting for an opportunity like this to train men to go out
into the harvest. I hope that he is just the first of many.
We have had more
exciting news in the last couple of weeks. A lady named
Dena walked the aisle and got saved a couple weeks ago.
Then last Sunday her 15-year-old daughter Kristine walked the aisle and
got saved just like her mother. So, we have another baptism coming up
soon. To God be the glory! That's the reason we
are out here, to preach, teach, and baptize, and that is exactly what we
are doing; preaching that old-time uncompromising Gospel message that Hell is
hot, Heaven is sweet, and through repentance and faith in Jesus
Christ and His finished work on the cross and out of the
tomb, He will save your lost soul and give you life
everlasting! Thank God it still works today!
Shall we rejoice
together over these souls that you have helped to bring to Christ
through your faithful prayers and support? Thank you!
Please help us pray for
our Fall Jubilee, that will be taking place during mid
September, and for Dr. Andy Simpson as he preaches,
that the Lord will touch him and meet with us in a special way also
that more souls will be saved.
FAMILY NEWS
In the midst of the
exciting ministry news is some very exciting family news.
My precious beautiful wife is now expecting. The due date is March
31st. We thank God for His blessings. Pray for Katelyn as she
starts her first year of home school, and for Hannah as she starts 1st
grade. They are both very excited and I am in disbelief that they are
growing up so fast.
Until next time keep
those prayers going up, the Gospel going out, and sinners getting in!
Glorying in His Cross,
Bro. Jesse Hailey
