Dear Pastor, Church and Co-Laborers,

Romans 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.  As another year has closed and another began I cannot help but think of this verse and realize how swiftly  time passes for us to make a difference in this world.  Indeed, the sense of urgency and the cry for action is greater than ever and my heart longs to be in California.

Praise the Lord, God is working in the hearts of churches who share this burden and are helping us to get to the field as soon as possible.  We have had several churches just in the past few weeks that are partnering with us to help reach our fellow citizens and establish new churches where there are none.  Please pray that God will continue to bless us as we travel and share the burden God has given to us.

In March, we plan to travel and survey several cities in California and the need for churches in those communities.  I recently met another young preacher, who was originally from the Eureka area in northern California.  He confirmed once again the great need for churches, as he told me of the area he grew up in and how that he was not saved until he was in the US Army, when he for the first time heard the gospel.  He told his family he would not move back to that area because there was no church for him to attend

Please pray for Dawn’s aunt, Kathy.  She has been in the hospital for about a month in very grave condition with meningitis and encephalitis.  The doctors said she had a very slim chance of surviving but praise the Lord it looks like he is going to intervene and spare her life.  She is probably facing months of recovery in therapy, however and I ask that you would pray for her and her husband Mike.  Please also pray for Bryson as he will have surgery the second week of February to drain fluid from around his ears and hopefully reverse some hearing loss he has experienced.  Thank you so much for all your prayers.

His servant,
